It triggers a very interesting discussion in “stem cell twittersphere”. @pknoepfler started his own investigation. He is posting regular updates in twitter and his blog. His latest blog update, summarizes the current status of “investigation”:

The fundamental question that remains is did Dr. Moriguchi transplant iPS cells into patients or not?
I would encourage Harvard to put out a statement ASAP on this.
It’s hard to link to original source right now, because, apparently it was removed, but you can get a sense of the story here. I believe, that we’re dealing with some sort of false claims here. But at what extend? All claims about this case could be false or only some of them.
