New open access journal BioResearch, basically is transforming into new “stem cell journal”. I’ve picked a recent review of cryopreservation methods for human pluripotent stem cell banks. This the first review, which addresses the issue of pluripotent stem cells cryopreservation in GMP-compliant large-scale manufacturing settings.

Experience in hPSC cryopreservation as cell clusters, adherent cells, and single cells using the slow cooling method suggests its suitability for large-scale bioprocessing. To translate the protocols to industrial bioprocess, detailed characterization of cryopreservation and thaw process using lineage-specific differentiation as output criteria will be a necessary next step.

This is a good review and recommended to read!
